Career Connection

Career Connection is a bimonthly newsletter that keeps CSU Hospitality & Tourism students, faculty, staff and alumni up-to-date on current job and internship openings, scholarship opportunities and industry events. The newsletter is sent every month on the second and fourth Wednesday.

If you are a current CSU HTM student, alumni or member of your program's faculty or staff, please email jdbraverman@calstate.edu for the link to be added to the distribution list.

  • E-mail Jodi Braverman a one- or two-sentence overview of the opportunity, including location (city and state) and closing date, if applicable.
  • Include a PDF or link where students can go for more information, including how and where to apply.
  • The length of time you'd like the opportunity to be featured (e.g., until August 30, 2019).

Experience Hospitality

Co-hosted by the CSU Hospitality & Tourism Alliance and the California Restaurant Association Foundation, Experience Hospitality brings together high school students, our partners in hospitality and higher education for a half-day event. This mega field trip kicks off with a College and Career Expo and panel featuring current CSU hospitality students. Students are then separated into groups of 20-30 for exclusive front-of-the-house and back-of-the-house tours of hotels, restaurants and hospitality venues. The day wraps up with an interactive student-industry networking lunch.

To sponsor Experience Hospitality or join in the networking lunch, contact Jodi Braverman or Natalie Tong.
