CA Residents 60 Years of Age or Older

Applies to:

California Residents 60 years of age or older taking state supported classes (not through extended education) at the CSU.

CSU Concurrent Enrollment

Applies to:

Student enrolled at one CSU campus, but taking a class(es) at another CSU.

All other Mandatory Fees
(Students pay the fees of their home institution)

Graduate Teaching Assistants

Applies to:

Graduate Students employed as Teaching Associates or Graduate Assistants per Executive Order 611.

High School Students in Special Programs

Applies to:

High School students participating in special programs approved by an agreement between the High School and the University.

In-State University/College Exchange

Applies to:

Students enrolled at CSU as a part of an exchange program with another university in California.

International Student Exchange

Applies to:

Students from universities outside the United States, attending the CSU per an exchange agreement.

Non-Resident Tuition

Non-Resident Students with Financial Need/Scholastic Achievement (not in international exchange)

Applies to:

Non-resident students, not a part of the international exchange program, with financial and or scholastic achievement.

Out of State - Public University / Student Exchange

Applies to:

Students attending the CSU on an exchange program from a public university in another state.

System Study Abroad Program

Applies to:

Students enrolled in the CSU systemwide Study Abroad Program. (Contact: Systemwide Study Abroad Program)

Survivor Benefits

Applies to:

CSU Employee Spouses and Dependents - whose spouse or parent died in the line of work at CSU, or whose work-related injury caused their death.

Fees Waived:

All Category I and Category II fees.

CSU Employee Discretionary Fee Waivers

Fee Waivers for CSU Employees and Employee Dependents are established by collective bargaining or other agreements between employee groups and CSU Systemwide Human Resources. These waivers should be granted based on the specific bargaining agreement, and the most recent Human Resources Technical Memorandums.

Note: campuses may use different names for these fee waivers.

CSU Employee Fee Waiver: Non-Represented Employees (C99, E99, M80, M98)

Applies to:

CSU employees who are not represented by a union. C99, E99, M80, M98
