Middle Class Scholarship (MCS) provides a scholarship to undergraduate students with a maximum annual family income and household asset ceiling of $165,000 (for 2017-18 awards).
For 2018-19, the maximum annual family income and household asset ceiling is $171,000, subject to the approval of the 2018-19 State Budget.
The student must be enrolled at a California State University or University of California and be a California resident or an eligible AB540 student and must file a
Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA) or
California Dream Act application by the March 2 deadline.
