What do I do when I (or a dependent) become eligible for Medicare?
You and your dependents must certify your Medicare status with CalPERS when you each become eligible for Medicare. At that time, you will need to choose a Medicare supplement plan. Contact CalPERS at 888-225-7377 to change your plan.

Can I change my health, dental and vision plans and add or delete dependents?
You may change your plans and add or delete dependents during the annual open enrollment period (September – October) or within 60 days of a qualifying event.

How do I know if I am enrolled in dental coverage?
To confirm enrollment, you may review your monthly pay statement, or log in to MyCalPERS. If you are enrolled in Delta Dental or Delta Care USA coverage, the plan name will be listed. (There is no monthly deduction. CSU pays the monthly premium for coverage.) You may also contact Delta Dental at 800-765-6003 or Delta Care USA at 800-422-4234.

How do I know if I am enrolled in vision coverage?
To confirm enrollment, you may review your monthly pay statement, or log in to MyCalPERS. If you are enrolled in VSP coverage, the plan name will be listed. There is a monthly premium deduction for this plan. You may also contact VSP at 800-400-4569, or visit VSP for Retirees.
