The Chancellor's Office: A Great Place to Thrive

The California State University Office of the Chancellor serves as the headquarters for the 23-campus system. Approximately 700 employees work at the downtown Long Beach offices, which offer breathtaking views of the harbor and sunsets and are located within walking distance of shops, museums, restaurants and entertainment. About 25 employees of the Chancellor’s Office work at off-site locations such as Sacramento, California and Washington, DC.

Walking and running trails surround the area and many employees participate in running or walking groups during lunch or before/after work. Locker rooms with showers on the first floor make changing a breeze.

As part of the CSU’s commitment to sustainability, the Chancellor’s Office has electric vehicle (EV) charging stations available for our employees, conveniently located on site.

HRS manages a variety of wellness programs and competitions at the Chancellor’s Office, such as Steps Challenges and Colorful Choices healthy eating.
