Darryl Hamm



Darryl Hamm joined the California State University Office of General Counsel in 2005. He is currently University Counsel for California State University, Dominguez Hills. He previously served in a similar role at California State University,  Fresno, Bakersfield, Humboldt State University and San José State University. In addition to his responsibilities as University Counsel, Darryl also serves as a member of Academic and Student Affairs team and as the Office of General Counsel's resource attorney for Affirmative Action, Proposition 209, First Amendment and FERPA​. Prior to joining CSU, he served as a Senior Attorney at two different nonprofits, Legal Services for Children and National Center for Youth Law in the Bay Area, a staff attorney for the U.S. Department of Education's Office for Civil Rights in San Francisco, and was in private practice as a litigation associate at Morrison & Foerster in San Francisco. Darryl also served as a judicial law clerk for Justice Allen E. Broussard of the California Supreme Court after graduating from law school.
