Mayling Nicolas

Ms. Nicolas is the Lead Paralegal at CSU, responsible for the distribution of work, training and providing of input on paralegal evaluations. 

Ms. Nicolas has worked on litigation and administrative cases statewide for the CSU, including a student fee class action trial. She advises on Public Records Act (PRA) requests, legal holds, and the improper use of the CSU name. She has been with CSU since 2005. 

Ms. Nicolas has a legal background in plaintiff employment, consumer class action and environmental litigation. She was with the boutique firm of Litt and Associates and Communities for a Better Environment, a community justice organization. She has taken several cases to trial, including state and federal class actions. Prior to being a paralegal, Ms. Nicolas was a professional non-profit fundraiser, working as an account executive and marketing coordinator on behalf of national organizations. Before that, she handled marketing communications for a software company.​​
