CSU Communications & Public Affairs

As the nation's largest public four-year university system, the California State University has a remarkable story to tell—one that couples educational opportunity with academic excellence and career preparation. The Chancellor’s Office Department of Communications & Public Affairs helps share the many facets of that story, illuminating the CSU's impact on California and beyond.

We work collaboratively with communications staff at each of our 23 campuses to highlight the amazing leadership, faculty, staff and diverse students and alumni that make up the CSU.

What We Do

  • The Public Affairs team shares information about the CSU with state and national news outlets and serves as the primary point of contact for media inquiries.
  • The Communications team uses innovative digital, visual and print media to bring the CSU's story to life, and is responsible for the university system's visual brand identity
  • The department also oversees the CSU's systemwide social media channels, including Twitter, Facebook, YouTube and Instagram.

Branding Standards
