The following are changes proposed to Title 5 of the California Code of Regulations.

TITLE 5 TRUSTEES OF THE CAL​IFORNIA STATE UNIVERSITY

NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that the Board of Trustees of the California State University proposes to amend: Section 40601 of Article 1, Subchapter 3, Chapter 1, Division 5 of Title 5 of the California Code of Regulations; Section 40803 of Article 5, Subchapter 3, Chapter 1, Division 5 of Title 5 of the California Code of Regulations; Section 40804 of Article 5, Subchapter 3, Chapter 1, Division 5 of Title 5 of the California Code of Regulations; Section 40804.1 of Article 5, Subchapter 3, Chapter 1, Division 5 of Title 5 of the California Code of Regulations; 40806 of Article 5, Subchapter 3, Chapter 1, Division 5 of Title 5 of the California Code of Regulations; 40900 of Article 6, Subchapter 3, Chapter 1, Division 5 of Title 5 of the California Code of Regulations; and Section 40901 of Article 6, Subchapter 3, Chapter 1, Division 5 of Title 5 of the California Code of Regulations.

A public hearing concerning these proposed changes will be held in the Glenn S. Dumke Conference Center at 401 Golden Shore, Long Beach, California 90802-4210 commencing at 9:00 a.m. on May 23, 20017, or as soon thereafter as the business of the Board will permit. Any person interested may present statements orally or in writing relevant to the proposed action at that hearing. Written comments must be received by close of business on May 23, 2017, addressed to Christine Mallon, Asst. Vice Chancellor, Academic Programs and Faculty Development, Office of the Chancellor, 401 Golden Shore, Long Beach, California 90802-4210.

This proposed amendment adds "impaction" to the list of particular terms, clarifies how an eligibility index is determined, specifies effective dates for these changes, and updates terms for college-readiness examinations.

40803

Amendments to this section stipulate the conditions under which an applicant qualifies for transfer admission and under which an eligible Associate Degree for Transfer student will be assigned conditional admission priority.

40804 and 40804.1

Proposed amendments specify the conditions under which exceptions may be permitted for transfer applicants who have earned fewer than 60 transferable units.

40806, 40900 and 40901

Proposed amendments increase from 56 to 60 the minimum number of transfer units required for admission.

COST TO STATE AND LOCAL AGENCIES AND SCHOOL DISTRICTS

The adoption of the proposed amendment and repeal will not impose a cost or savings on any state agency; will not impose a cost or savings on any local agency or school district that is required to be reimbursed under Section 17561 of the Government Code; will not result in any nondiscretionary cost or savings to local agencies; will not result in any cost or savings in federal funding to the state; and will not impose a mandate on local agencies or school districts.

The regulations are being amended and deleted pursuant to Sections 66600, 66746, 66747, 89030, 89030.5, Education Code.
