Jorge Reyes Salinas is pursuing his Master’s degree in Communication Studies from California State University, Northridge. Mr. Reyes Salinas received his Bachelor’s degree in Journalism in May 2015, as well as a minor in Spanish Language Journalism and Recreation Management.

Reyes Salinas has served in Associated Students at CSUN since 2011, and recently ended his term as Associated Students President (2015-2016) in May 2016. He has also been involved in many CSUN organizations such as Greek life, new student orientation, the University Student Union and more. Reyes Salinas has a passion for education equity and has served in many committees addressing issues of social justice and graduation rates for underrepresented students.

In May 2016, he was elected Vice President of University Affairs for the California State Student Association (CSSA). In this role, Reyes Salinas oversees University Affairs topics and issues that relate to all CSU campuses.

Upon graduation from CSUN, Reyes Salinas hopes to continue his work in higher education through public service or student affairs.
