Associate Professor of Physics Cynthia Trevisan joined the California Maritime Academy in August of 2008 and is currently the Chair of the Department of Sciences and Mathematics. She holds a Ph.D. in theoretical molecular physics from University College London, University of London and is Cal Maritime’s first Outstanding Scholar Award recipient. Dr. Trevisan’s computational research on the interaction of electrons and photons with atoms and molecules made the cover of Journal of Physics B: Atomic, Molecular and Optical Physics, and was selected for inclusion in the exclusive Highlights of 2012 collection. Dr. Trevisan has been selected to participate in the Department of Energy’s highly competitive Visiting Faculty Program at the Lawrence Berkeley National Laboratory for the second consecutive year.
