Alan Bond, M.B.A.

Outstanding Lecturer Award, 2018-19
Department of Construction Management

My goal is to provide students with opportunities to better themselves inside and outside the classroom, enhancing their confidence to succeed in any passion driven endeavor they choose.

Alan Bond, 1987 alumni of Chico State’s Construction Management program, worked in the construction industry as a commercial public works building contractor for over 27 years. In 2011 he returned to Chico as a new instructor and his teaching philosophy includes innovative ways to share his industry knowledge with the next generation of builders. As coach of the Commercial Building team, his students have placed in the top 3 for the past 5 consecutive years in the Associated Schools of Construction Student Competition. As faculty advisor to the Associated General Contractors student chapter since 2013, his clubs has placed in the top 3 three times in the National Outstanding Student Chapter contest. Many of the participating students are leaders outside the classroom and scholarship recipients.
