Her work is widely recognized with local, regional, and national awards, including a $1 million grant from the USDA and $1.5 million from other funders. As the Executive Director of the Marilyn Magaram Center, she supervises over 50 interns, 12 staff and 30 students, and research assistants. Three major community outreach programs illustrate her extraordinary service through promoting healthful behavior in participating community families: “Taste of Good Health,” “Let’s Cook, Move, and Grow Healthy in Schools,” and “Champions for Change.” As the Extraordinary Service Award recipient, over 21,000 people have been directly impacted by her.
