Gender and Sexuality Studies

I think great faculty and students live as though ideas matter, recognizing that ideas are practical in that they profoundly shape our personal lives and the world in which we live.

Todd Jennings joined CSUSB’s College of Education in 1990. He teaches courses in developmental psychology, educational psychology, sexuality, and gender.

In receiving the Outstanding Professor award, Jennings was praised by both colleagues and students. Wrote one student, “He not only teaches the material but helps us apply this knowledge….Through his teaching you can see his passion for teaching and you can see that he wants all of his students to succeed…he brings up topics and scenarios that would happen…that I would never have thought about.”

Jennings’ research and writing focus on the preparation of education professionals around issues of sexual and gender diversity, and human rights education. He is well published with dozens of scholarly pieces as well as numerous presentations at prestigious research conferences, organizations such as Amnesty International and Human Rights Watch.
