The CSU Annual Biotechnology Symposium, which takes place this year January 5-7 in Santa Clara, is expected to attract over 700 attendees—more than any previous year.

The symposium—which highlights cutting-edge biotechnologies, product-focused innovation, and the wide spectrum of career paths available in the life sciences—brings CSU students, faculty and administrators together with biotech professionals working in academia, government and industry.

Each year, the CSU Program for Education & Research in Biotechnology (CSUPERB) honors and recognizes outstanding CSU faculty and students during the annual Biotechnology Symposium. The awards will be announced on January 5th.

The many symposium topics include an astrobiology showcase, discussions of gender bias in science, and how to choose a research project, along with nearly 300 poster presentations on a wide range of subjects.
