The Hollywood Foreign Press Association (HFPA), which presents the annual Golden Globe Awards, awarded nearly $2.4 million in grants for organizations devoted to philanthropy, education and film preservation. Among the recipients were CSU Fullerton, Long Beach, Los Angeles and Northridge, who received grants for higher education fellowships and institutional support, as well as HFPA scholarship and fellowship endowments.

The CSU campuses support the mission of the HFPA to foster education, diversity and creative expression in art and film. Earlier this year,
CSU Northridge received a separate $2 million grant from HFPA to support students and enhance technology in the school's Department of Cinema and Television Arts. Part of the money will go toward funding scholarships for underrepresented film and television students.
