Recognizing CSU’s Outstanding Faculty and Staff

A key part of CSU’s success is the 45,000 faculty and staff who are committed to leading and inspiring students in meeting their educational goals. To commend the faculty and staff who go above and beyond and forever impact the lives of CSU scholars, Trustee Emeritus Stanley T. Wang is donating $300,000 that will provide $20,000 to four faculty members and one staff member annually for three years.

Trustee Wang’s generous gift is the second significant commitment he has made to the CSU, in addition to his many years of service as a trustee. The Wang Family Excellence Award was originally established in 1998 when then-Trustee Wang provided $1 million to recognize the remarkable contributions of the CSU’s faculty and administrators over a 10-year period.

The Wang Family Excellence Award honors and celebrates the CSU’s faculty and staff who, through extraordinary commitment and dedication, have distinguished themselves by exemplary contributions and achievements. Their activities advance the university’s mission, bring benefit and credit to the CSU, and enhance the CSU’s excellence in teaching, scholarship and service.

The Wang Family Excellence Award Committee will be appointed in the coming weeks in consultation with the campus presidents, and will be inclusive of faculty and staff.
