When J. D. Power speaks, Northridge business students also listen. For three years, he has co-taught a marketing course in customer satisfaction. Students acclaim his insights, his commitment to customers and the practical value of his course. Mr. Power has given generously to the university through his membership in the President's Associates and on the board of directors of the University Foundation.

In recognition of his professional accomplishments and service to the university, the Board of Trustees of the California State University and California State University, Northridge are proud to confer on J. D. Power III the honorary degree of Doctor of Humane Letters.
