Stewart Resnick serves as chairman and president of The Wonderful Company overseeing all finance, legal, real estate, strategy, human resources and business unit operations for the privately held, global company based in Los Angeles.
The Wonderful Company is committed to environmentally conscious harvesting, processing and marketing through its iconic brands — Wonderful Pistachios, Wonderful Almonds, Wonderful Halos, POM Wonderful, FIJI Water, JUSTIN wines, Landmark Wines, JNSQ Wines and Teleflora. Mr. Resnick has made significant investments in sustainability research and advanced irrigation technologies. He implemented solar installations at four primary facilities and mandated the use of fuel cells to generate 35% of the required electricity without combustion or air pollution.
Mr. Resnick and his wife, Lynda Resnick, combine their financial and management acumen with marketing savvy to pursue their shared passion for producing healthy products while giving back to the community. The Central Valley and the island of Fiji, where many of their employees live, have benefitted from their generosity through extensive community development efforts that include a new comprehensive health and wellness program and various educational initiatives.
Mr. Resnick sits on the Board of Trustees for California Institute of Technology, Bard College and Conservation International. The Resnicks have made a personal commitment to California State University, Fresno that includes providing student scholarships through the Wonderful Education initiative, and most recently, a $10 million gift for the Lynda and Stewart Resnick Student Union. A portion of the investment will be used to create The Wonderful Scholar Center, a dedicated space in the student union for scholarship recipient tutoring and counseling.
In recognition of his outstanding achievements and positive impact on students, the Board of Trustees of the California State University and the California State University, Fresno are proud to confer upon Stewart Resnick the honorary degree of Doctor of Science.
