B.S. Business Administration (1986)​

  • In his 34th season with the A's organization and his 14th as vice president, stadium operations, where he coordinates event management, oversees game day employees, assists in construction related issues, and serves as the team's liaison with law enforcement and Major League Baseball security.
  • Began work for the Oakland Athletics in high school, giving out game day promotional items and delivering schedules and stickers to local businesses.
  • Helped recreate some of the A's greatest moments at the Oakland Coliseum for filming of Moneyball, the story of the Oakland A’s in 2002, based on Michael Lewis' best-seller of the same name.
  • Credits part of his success to his business education at Cal State East Bay (Hayward). About his professor Paul Staudohar, an expert in sports management, he says, “Paul opened my eyes on a lot of the issues dealing with labor and unions, as well as with negotiating deals. His class prepared [me] for what [I] now do.”
  • Shares his experience with current students as a guest speaker in CSUEB business classes.
