Appointed to current position in 2012 by Governor Jerry Brown and is the first Hispanic/Latino to serve on this court’s bench. Has a 22 year legal career specializing in criminal and civil law.
Previously appointed as a Superior Court Judge by Governor Gray Davis in 2002.
He is a member of La Raza Lawyers Association and Latin American Business Club of Fresno as well as a member of the Fresno County and Madera County Bar Associations.
Gives back his time to Fresno State as a member of the Fresno State Alumni Association board of directors.
