Nguyen, 43, leads Advance Beauty College in Garden Grove and Laguna Hills California. The academy, which includes the USA's leading manicuring course, part of a greater $9 billion nails industry in the U.S.
Nguyen has been featured on BBC, PBS, Fox, NPR, CNN, ABC, KFI, OC Register, LA Times, Chicago Tribune, Orange County Business Journal and leading Vietnamese publications.
He holds both a MD and MBA while actively serving on multiple CEO and Executive Councils.
Tam has also been featured with Tippi Hedren in an award winning documentary for the Nails industry called Happy Hands.
At California State University, Fullerton he is a Faculty Member teaching Management since 2016 and a Consultant to the University for Vietnamese programs locally and internationally.
Awards and accomplishments include: Chairman, VIET Foundation 2013-present; Chairman/President Vietnamese American Chamber of Commerce 2009-2013; Board Member, Orange County United Way 2015-present; Board Member, American Association of Cosmetology Schools, 2010-2016; Board of Governors, California State University Fullerton's Philanthropic Foundation; Family Business Hall of Fame Award Recipient 2016, top Southern California family owned business; Diversity Visionary Award 2015, presented by Pacific Trade and Cultural Alliance
