  • As president since 1990, built Body Glove International into a $200 million global business of active outdoor apparel and equipment.
  • Founder of the Manhattan Beach 10K Run in 1978 which is one of the top 100 road races in the country.
  • Served on the Manhattan Beach City Council from 1978 to 1986, including two terms as mayor. Other community activities include board service for Manhattan Beach Chamber of Commerce, South Bay Free Clinic Advisory Board, and environmental organization Reef Check.
  • Founder of the rock band "Thin Ice" as a guitarist, song writer and vocalist. Recorded an album commemorating 100 years of surfing in the United States.
