  • Gladys Diva Brown is the airport director at Yuma International Airport — the 2015 Arizona Airport of Year, awarded by the Arizona Department of Transportation Aeronautics Group.

  • As director, Gladys’ operates the airport in compliance with FAA regulations and state law and maintains a positive relationship with the Marine Corps Air Station Yuma. In addition, she promotes commercial air service and general aviation in a safe and secure manner and attracts new business for economic development.

  • Gladys was recognized as the 2017 Airport Executive of the Year by the Southwest Chapter of the American Association of Airport Executives. She was also the Arizona Airport’s Association 2017 Airport Executive of the Year and was featured in Airport Business Magazine's "40 Under 40."

  • Gladys worked previously as a civil engineer with Nicklaus Engineering, Inc., as a mechanical and electrical integrity consultant with FM Global and as a high school math teacher at Vallejo Sr. High School in Vallejo, California.

  • Gladys is committed to her community and takes on active roles to help youth development by encouraging leadership, teaching accountability and responsibilities through athletics. In addition, she is involved in technical programs to incorporate science, technology, engineering and mathematics in her local schools.
