  • Rivera produced Pixar's film Inside Out, which received the 2015 Academy Award for Best Animated Film.
  • After seeing Luxo Jr., while a student at San Francisco State, Rivera cold called Pixar. He became the first production intern for Toy Story, sweeping floors and getting lunches, but still considered it his dream job.
  • He has since worked on nearly every Pixar film ever made including Monsters, Inc., Finding Nemo, and Cars.
  • In 2010, he was producer of Disney•Pixar’s animated feature film Up, which won an Academy Award for best Animated Feature Film.
  • Rivera’s diverse professional background includes working in music stores, toy stores and playing in hard rock bands—what he jokingly refers to as “the perfect training for working at Pixar.”
