Robinson teaches at the West Sonoma County Consortium School in Sebastopol, where she leads a special education class for kindergarten through third grade. This consortium provides special education services to multiple school districts in west Sonoma County.
She was the 2019 Sonoma County Teacher of the Year and most recently, the California Department of Education named her as one of five educators to be recognized as California Teacher of the Year for 2020. This is the first time a Sonoma County teacher has achieved this recognition.
In addition to her role as a teacher, Robinson mentors prospective special education teachers and identifies innovative ways to ensure her students are included in the broader school community. One example is expanding Special Olympics at her school.
Robinson has facilitated numerous grants to purchase adaptive technology to support the students she works with and also mentors teachers on how to use the technology in their classrooms.
She is also the founder/director of Epic Athletes, a sports program for children with special needs, and is president of Sonoma Kids Outreach Recreation and Education Foundation which provides scholarships for kids to participate in Epic Athletes.
