Jong Lee is owner and president of The Lee Accountancy, which has been named as a top tax firm by Oakland Magazine. Beyond his success in business, Jong is a committed philanthrophist, particularly to the Oakland community. He launched an annual Thanksgiving Day dinner that continues to serve thousands of Oakland residents in underserved communities every year. This work and his committment to social justice issues, particularly those affecting Asian communitites, led former Oakland mayor Jerry Brown to proclaim March 5, 2004 Jong H. Lee Day.
Jong credits his career success to Sonoma State and recently increased his engagement with his alma mater. In August 2017, he arranged for a delegation of 10 Hanyang University executives, including the university's president, to visit SSU and forge a partnership. Jong supports Sonoma State students through a scholarship and through his work with the School of Business and Economics' Career Center.
