COAST supports CSU faculty members and students engaged in marine, coastal, and coastal watershed related research and activities and works to connect members with stakeholders at all levels to promote informed decision-making.
Since 2009, COAST has provided over $1.4 million in support to CSU faculty members. As a result, faculty members have secured over $13 million in extramural funding.
COAST has supported over 1,100 students through research and travel awards and our robust summer internship program. As a result, students have gone on to succeed in the workforce and in graduate school.
COAST provides a platform to effectively communicate our members’ expertise to stakeholders, including federal, state and local governments, industry, and the public, leading to more informed decision-making in all matters relating to the coast and ocean.
