The Center for Aquaculture at Moss Landing Marine Laboratories develops novel technologies for enhancing the sustainability and productivity of current aquaculture practices through research and training opportunities for students. With a focus on conducting rigorous science, faculty, students, and industry partners strive to improve aquaculture practices, such as sustainable seafood cultivation, minimizing nutrient and pollutant loading, and assessing the impacts of ocean acidification on aquaculture production. The environmental filtration methods developed at the Center can be scaled to specific regions around the globe.
