Current Conditions

Monitoring stations off the coast of California provide continuous, high frequency measurements of water temperature, conductivity or salinity, and pressure. Additional measurements may include dissolved oxygen, pH, turbidity, and chlorophyll fluorescence, photosynthetically available radiation (PAR), transmissivity, wave height, and local currents. NOAA IOOS, CeNCOOS, NOAA CoastWatch, David and Lucille Packard Foundation, California Coastal Conservancy, and individual CSU campuses provided support for one or more of the monitoring stations.
