CSUPERB administers competitive grant and award programs open to California State University (CSU) faculty and students.
CSUPERB defines biotechnology as a fusion of biology and technology.
The Biotechnology Innovation Organization
lists biotechnology examples, applications and sectors. CSUPERB explicitly adds to these lists health IT and medical device research and development. CSUPERB welcomes and encourages applications from CSU faculty and students in all disciplines related to the current practice of biotechnology, including but not limited to life sciences, physical sciences, clinical sciences, math, computer science, agricultural science, engineering, and/or business.
For more information about each program, click on the Request for Proposals (RFP or RFA) links below.
Program RFPs are updated for each new round of funding. Before crafting a proposal, make sure you are working with the current version. For programs not currently open and accepting proposals, RFPs and proposal templates from the prior round of funding are provided as examples.
Applicants, administrators and the public can use the
Grants Database to view and search previously funded CSUPERB grants and awards (1999 - present).
