My aspiration is to become a lawyer focused on immigration, so I can help those whose rights are violated."

Through therapy and violin lessons, Aileen Gonzalez gained the confidence to overcome years of bullying due to a birth defect that affected the normal growth of her skull. Her talents led to a spot on the Youth Orchestra Los Angeles and a performance at Walt Disney Concert Hall and the Hollywood Bowl.

Today, Aileen’s confidence drives her pursuit of a bachelor’s degree in criminal justice at California State University, Dominguez Hills. Inspired by her experiences as a child, Aileen’s career goals are to become an immigration or human rights lawyer. Ultimately, Aileen wants to become a member of congress, fighting against injustices and for the voiceless in her community.
