​​In her youth, Pamela Hernandez had to deal with physical and emotional abuse that leaves her scarred to this day. Now, at 42 years old, she is married and a full-time student. Pamela is learning to reflect on her childhood and address the pain so that she can be a better parent for her children.

After many years struggling to overcome alcohol and drug addiction, Pamela is alcohol and drug free. She is determined to earn her bachelor's and has a 3.83 GPA as a human services major. After completing her undergraduate degree, Pamela plans to pursue graduate studies at California State University, Dominguez Hills to become an alcohol and drug counselor. More than anything, she looks forward to utilizing her experience to help people overcome their addictions.​
