Tyler Kent Sullivan
My children will learn what desire really means if I keep on track. My dreams of being an Air Force Officer are not lost.

Tyler Kent Sullivan's life transformed into a world of new responsibilities when he became a single father of two beautiful babies. While single fatherhood has been a challenge to Tyler, he has managed to continue his education, complete ROTC cadet training and make it on to the dean's list four times—with an overall GPA of 3.49—in his business administration and human resources program at California State Polytechnic University, Pomona.

As a cadet in the Air Force ROTC, Tyler led 50 cadets through drill, leadership laboratories and mentoring sessions. Tyler commanded the color guard at several events and served as the intercollegiate squadron commander, leading multiple volunteer events that supported his community and detachment. Tyler's goal is to complete his bachelor's degree and become a space operations officer in the United States Air Force, while still focusing on being the best dad possible
