Patrick Landrum
It is important to believe in myself, because I have the confidence and the intelligence to succeed.

Patrick Landrum was seven years old when he was diagnosed with Asperger syndrome. As a student living with a learning disability, Patrick overcame obstacles with communication, social skills and classroom focus throughout his life. In 2009, he graduated with honors as class salutatorian from Golden Valley High School where he maintained a 4.0 GPA. After earning his associate’s degree in mathematics at a community college, Patrick transferred to California State University, Sacramento where he has achieved dean's list academic honors as a double major in mathematics and economics.

Patrick actively volunteers as a math tutor and serves as vice president of the math club. His volunteer efforts extend beyond the campus to libraries, parks, recreation services, blood drives, rescue missions, galleries and more. After completion of his bachelor’s degrees, Patrick plans to pursue a career as an actuary who analyzes the financial impacts of risk and uncertainty.
