Rodney Spackman

​Rodney (Rod) K. Spackman is manager-policy, government and public affairs for ChevronTexaco Corporation in the Los Angeles basin. His responsibilities include overseeing the company's relationship with elected officials, key regional regulatory agencies, local media, and community groups. Prior to his current assignment, Mr. Spackman spent a number of years in Chevron's Government Affairs group working with state and federal officials on selected issues and also administered various political education and contribution programs. 

Mr. Spackman began his professional career in Washington, D.C. as a staff member of the White House Office of Public Liaison. From there he moved to Capitol Hill to join the National Republican Congressional Committee as a member of their campaign division. In 1977, Mr. Spackman left Washington, D.C. and joined the Western Division office of the National Association of Manufacturers, where he became Public Affairs Director. It was this job that led to his position with Chevron. 

He is involved in many community organizations including: Town Hall, Los Angeles Chamber of Commerce, Valley Industry and Commerce Association, Los Angeles Opportunities Industrialization Centers, USC School of Public Administration and the Santa Monica Bay Restoration Project Foundation.
