How to Transfer​ to​ the CSU​

There are a variety of ways to enroll as a transfer student at one of our 23 universities. Explore these paths to find the one that’s right for you.

  • Associat​​​e Degree for Transfer (ADT)

    Earn a two-year associate degree from a California Community College, then transfer to the CSU. With an ADT, you can earn two degrees—your associate’s and your bachelor’s.

    If you will have at least 60 semester units (or 90 quarter units) of transferable coursework by the time you enter a CSU, you’re considered an upper-division transfer student.
