Convinced his father to enroll with him in the Agriculture and Land Based Training Association's "Programa Educativa para Pequenos Agricultores." The program trains aspiring small farmers in sustainable production methods and marketing techniques which led to the formation of their business.
J&P Organics is a small family run farm and delivery service. Its mission is to inform on the value of local sustainable agricultural practices.
His company provides fresh, organic vegetables and fruits to over 500 people in three counties directly to homes and offices as well as selling at farmers markets.
Juan was featured in Mother Nature Network as a favorite young farmer in the "40 farmers under 40: Readers' Choice" where readers nominated forty of the nation's brightest green thumbs who are quietly nurturing a food revolution from their own backyards.
