  • Established herself as one of the most exciting and talented singers of her generation and recognized as one of today’s pre-eminent mezzo-sopranos.
  • Twice presented the Grammy Award for Best Classical Album and received a 2001 Grammy for Best Opera for Les Troyens with Sir Colin Davis and the London Symphony Orchestra.
  • Appeared with many of the world's leading orchestras, including the New York Philharmonic, Boston Symphony Orchestra, Chicago Symphony Orchestra, San Francisco Symphony, Los Angeles Philharmonic, Met Orchestra (in Carnegie Hall), Met Chamber Ensemble, Vienna Philharmonic, and Royal Philharmonic Orchestra.
  • Also appeared in the prestigious festivals of Ravinia, Tanglewood, Aspen, Cincinnati, Saito Kinen, Edinburgh, Salzburg, and Lucerne.
  • Appeared with many of the finest opera houses of the world, including the Metropolitan Opera, the Lyric Opera of Chicago, the Glimmerglass Opera, the Opéra National de Paris and the Tokyo Opera.
