Juana Villa
The two most important things that I have learned at Cal Poly are to not be afraid to try new things and to believe in myself.

Juana Villa is a first-generation Mexican-American college student. Every class presents a challenge because she is still developing her English language skills. Despite those challenges, she was able to earn an associate degree with high honors at San Diego City College.

She is currently a senior at Cal Poly San Luis Obispo with a 3.85 GPA majoring in graphic communication with a web and digital media concentration and packaging minor. Her passion for printing and packaging led her to become a member of the Shakespeare Press Museum, where she prints her designs using letterpress machines. She is also a member of the Flexographic Technical Association, which allows her to attend conferences about packaging.

Juana plans to earn a master's degree in electronic printing to fulfill her goal of creating unique packages that attract consumers by standing out from the rest.
